Face Porsche Cayman, Renault Launches Alpine A110 GT4

Perhaps the name of Alpine is a bit strange to the ear, it is because the French brand is long gone from circulation.

In recent years, Alpine has been raised by Renault to become a lightweight sports car brand from France.

After 2017 Alpine's first car since decades ago has been officially launched, now the French brand is introduced variant of the racing Cayman GT4 challenger.

As reported by Planet Alpine, to face the Cayman GT4, Alpine A110 GT4 carrying a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine Renault Clio RS is placed behind the driver.


Alpine A110 GT4 project is done by Signatech, the world's endurance championship racing team that plunge in the LMP2 class, so it certainly will give resistance to the Cayman GT4.

Different from the standard A110 variant, this racing version brings aerodynamic package, following the legs are qualified, such as Brembo brakes and racing tires.

While the interior has been stripped down, leaving a roll-cage that surrounds a bucket seat, as well as sequential transmission gearbox.

This Alpine step can make the A110 GT4 to compete in the GT4 class against, Porsche Cayman BMW M4, Ford Mustang, Mercedes-AMG GT4, and KTM X-Bow.
